This year the Social Committee at TriCare Hastings Point Retirement Community moved past Christmas in July in favour of a French theme, celebrating Bastille Day on Friday, 14 July.
Mesdames and Messieurs were treated to some French classics with the menu featuring French onion soup, tender chicken, boeuf bourguignon, apple tart and lots and lots of cheese.
The creative team spared no effort as they transformed the community lounge with drapes and dressed the tables in a sea of red, white and blue.
Residents embraced the evenings theme with navy and white stripes and berets galore.
Best dressed went to resident, Col Ross, who seemed to have more facial hair than usual and was looking his sartorial best.
