All 114 swabs from residents and staff taken yesterday, Tuesday 30th March, have returned negative results to Covid-19.
As informed by Queensland Health, three further rounds of Covid-19 testing on residents and staff are expected to occur over the next 10 days.
Careful monitoring of residents continue, and there are no adverse signs to residents or staff at present.
TriCare Mermaid Beach’s lockdown has been extended to 14 days, commenced on 29th March and concluding on 12th April as directed by Queensland Health. During this period, residents will not be able to leave the care home except for medical emergencies (e.g. hospital), and all visitors are restricted from accessing the site.
Further vaccinations of residents and staff are scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, 1st April 2021.
