Last week TriCare celebrated the official opening of Williams Landing Aged Care Residence, with our cherished residents, family and friends, the Williams Landing and wider TriCare Team, and the local community.
Celebrating bringing a ‘New Age of Aged Care’ to Melbourne’s Southwest, Wyndham City Council Mayor Susan McIntyre officiated the ceremony with a plaque unveiling, and our very first resident Catina Papadopolous assisted with the ribbon cutting.
TriCare Williams Landing was designed using person-centred principles, which the team believes are key to happiness and well-being.
“We wanted to create a home-like space for the residents. Somewhere they can relax and feel comfortable,” said TriCare Director Peter O’Shea as he addressed the gathering.
This facility was all about redesigning the aged care experience and keeping our residents front of mind throughout the entire process,
Following the official ceremony, guests were taken on guided tours of the facility, to see first-hand the amazing, hotel-style amenities on offer, including a cafe, movie theatre, and wellness suite.
In the afternoon, TriCare Williams Landing also hosted a community event – the perfect opportunity for members of the public to visit the facility and speak to our residents and staff.
Thank you to everyone who attended and made the event a successful and enjoyable day for all!
