“Mad Matter: “Have I gone mad?”
Alice: “I’m afraid so. But I’ll tell you a secret. All the best people are.”
On the 25th July, the colourful scene was set in the clubhouse Restaurant and Lounge for almost eighty Stafford Lakes Retirement Community residents to ‘step through the looking glass and down the rabbit hole’ at the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party themed Mid-Year Dinner.
The night was a fabulous success thanks to teamwork and many hours of planning and decorating by residents and Committee members, including the themed catering from Penny’s Pantry.
The atmosphere was completed with guests arriving in their fanciest decorated hats and some outrageous costumes ready to celebrate the evening with much laughter, great company and conversation.
The evening ended fittingly with Queen of Hearts Jam Tarts, prizes awarded and a musical performance in the lounge by pianist, singer and entertainer Chris Doyle.
Congratulations to all who contributed and partook in the event. It was a true example of the vibrant, diverse, and convivial community at Stafford Lakes Retirement Community.
