TriCare’s Head Office at Mt Gravatt is seeking a highly capable and experienced Workers Compensation Claims Officer to join our team, in a full-time capacity. This role supports aged care employees with their injury claims and helping workers recover safely. Reporting to the Workers Compensation and Administration Manager you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Accurate Claim Registration and Documentation: Meticulously register new ACES statutory workers’ compensation claims into the Self-insurance Management System (SOLV), ensuring comprehensive and accurate data entry to maintain compliance and prevent future errors in claims processing.
- Thorough Investigation of Claims Validity: Conduct in-depth investigations into statutory workers’ compensation claims, employing rigorous evidence-gathering techniques to validate the legitimacy of claims, thereby safeguarding the organization from fraudulent or inaccurate claims.
- Proactive Statutory Claims Management: Take a hands-on approach in managing the statutory claims portfolio, adhering closely to the ACES Workers’ Compensation Claims Manual and the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003 to drive claim resolutions in the shortest, safest timeframes.
- Strategic Case and Rehabilitation Planning: Develop tailored, outcome-focused case management and rehabilitation plans that promote an effective return-to-work transition, coordinating with all necessary stakeholders to enhance recovery outcomes for injured workers.
- Preparation of Comprehensive Decisions and Legislative Documentation: Draft detailed Reasons for Decision documents for each statutory claim as needed, maintaining a high standard of legal compliance and clarity to support transparency and regulatory requirements.
