TriCare’s Pt Vernon Aged Care Residence, our 56 bed facility in an idyllic location on the Esplanade at Hervey Bay, has vacancies for experienced permanent part-time Personal Care Workers.
We are seeking applications from enthusiastic Personal Care workers who are Certificate III qualified and are able to undertake varied shifts for AM, PM and NIGHT shifts. We currently have part time permanent and casual positions available. Night duty and weekend shifts attract penalty rates according to the Aged Care Award 2020. All employees also receive a uniform and laundry allowance.
TriCare’s managers are flexible and will consider your work/life balance in planning of the roster, but at the same time, we value your reliability and enthusiasm to ensure our residents receive the best quality care.
Rosters are planned a fortnight in advance, but we appreciate your flexibility in filling additional shifts at times with short notice. You can set your availability in the Emprevo App on your mobile phone to allow managers/team leaders to offer shifts to you.
Reporting to the registered/clinical nurse on shift, you will provide exemplary care to the residents. Essential criteria for this role include:
- Possession of a Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care;
- Reliability, flexibility and working as a positive team member;
- Demonstrated resident advocacy, ensuring dignity for residents; and
- Adept at using tablet-based electronic clinical management systems.
