Two exclusive wings feature classic or classic plus single rooms with an attractive private dining room. Classic companion rooms are also available. Each room opens into a courtyard, balcony or garden, allowing for plenty of fresh air and physical activity.
Your care is in the good hands of our Registered Nurses and qualified Carers who are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can relax knowing there is an emergency call system, so help is never far away.
Other health services are available such as physiotherapy, podiatry, diversional therapy, speech therapy, GPs and pharmaceutical services.

An aged care home, such as TriCare Mount Gravatt, is a supportive community that provides residential accommodation and healthcare services for seniors and individuals who require assistance with daily living due to illness, disability, or frailty. It’s also commonly referred to as an aged care residence, aged care facility, or nursing home.
People may choose to move to an aged care home for various reasons, including illness or disability that makes it difficult to manage daily tasks, an emergency situation that requires immediate support, increasing pressure on family carers, or difficulty managing daily tasks without assistance.
At TriCare Mt Gravatt, our residents receive personalised support with daily tasks such as meal preparation and assistance, cleaning and laundry services, personal care including showering, dressing, and grooming, 24-hour nursing care from qualified nursing staff, medication management, continence care, and wound care and treatment.
In addition to these essential services, we offer specialised care and support for complex health conditions, including memory-support care and palliative care. Eligibility for residential aged care in Australia is determined based on an individual’s care needs and circumstances. To be eligible, you generally need to meet the following criteria:
- Age: Usually, individuals must be aged 65 years or older (or 50 years or older for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people).
- Assessment: You must undergo an assessment by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) to evaluate your physical, medical, psychological, and social needs. This assessment determines if you require residential aged care and the level of care you need.
- Care Needs: You must have significant care needs that cannot be adequately met through other types of care, such as home care services. This includes needing assistance with daily activities, personal care, and medical needs.
- Australian Resident: You should be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a special visa category that qualifies you for aged care services.
- Health and Safety: Your current living situation must be assessed as unsuitable for your health and safety, and residential aged care must be considered the best option for your well-being.

Aged care funding and fees can be complex, but they generally involve a combination of government support and personal contributions. To determine the appropriate fees and funding, residents must undergo a financial assessment. This assessment considers both income and assets, including property, savings, and investments. Here is a breakdown of how it typically works.
- Basic Daily Fee: Covers daily living costs such as meals, cleaning, and laundry. It is set at 85% of the single basic age pension rate.
- Means-Tested Fee: An additional contribution based on an income and assets assessment. This fee has annual and lifetime caps.
- Accommodation Costs: Payment for accommodation can be made as a lump sum (Refundable Accommodation Deposit or RAD), a daily payment (Daily Accommodation Payment or DAP), or a combination of both. Government assistance may be available for eligible individuals
