Halloween is a much-loved occasion here at TriCare, with each of our Aged Care Residences diving into the spooky spirit this year for a bit of fun. With crazy costumes, engaging activities and delicious Halloween-themed treats, Halloween brought everyone together to celebrate the festive season in style.
It’s always so wonderful to see our residents and staff get involved in the festivities, and celebrations like Halloween act as a great opportunity for some fun dressups, delicious food and even some games for some healthy competition!
Halloween at TriCare
While traditionally an American holiday, Halloween is a global celebration that is a great opportunity to spark some joy and create lasting memories for our residents each year. It’s a celebration that brings a dash of lighthearted fun to the calendar and allows everyone at TriCare to engage in something a little different. Whether dressing up, sharing a laugh, or enjoying some yummy themed treats, Halloween at TriCare always tends to bring our community closer together.
Costumes for all ages
From funny to even a little bit scary, our residents and staff didn’t hold back with their Halloween costumes this year. At the Mermaid Aged Care Residence, our residents loved seeing the staff members join in on the fun, with some dressing up in costumes that were everything from beautiful to spooky and everything in between!
Cypress Gardens took the Halloween festivities up a notch with a best-dressed competition, with the wellness team visiting each of the residents before the event with a collection of costumes and face makeup to choose from! You could spot everything from fake dracula’s teeth to curly clown wigs in each of our TriCare Residences. It was a delight to see everyone joining in, filling each of our Residences with smiles and laughter.
Halloween-themed meals and treats!
No TriCare holiday celebration would be complete without some delicious themed treats for the occasion! This year our Jindalee Aged Care Residence hosted a wonderful morning tea on Halloween morning, where residents were served by staff dressed in costumes before enjoying their cuppa surrounded by some fun Halloween decor.
Our staff at Cypress Gardens Residence also held a fun game of Trick-or-Treat for the residents, getting everyone involved in the nostalgic fun once again! Each of our Residences did a great job in dressing up the communal areas and dining halls with fun Halloween decorations, such as pumpkins, cobwebs, tablecloths and much more!
