Workers Compensation and Administration Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Manager – Workers Compensation and Administration to join the team in a full-time capacity. This role is based at our head office at Mount Gravatt and has an in-office requirement.  

The right candidate for this position would have expertise in managing self-insurance workers’ compensation and experience in leading an administration team. Previous work experience in a healthcare environment would be advantageous.   

Key responsibilities for this position but not limited to: 

  • Responding to claims queries and processing them categorically. 
  • Processing claims from end to end and ensuring the process is compliant accurately. 
  • Collaborate with solicitors to determine liabilities when need be. 
  • Ability to manage multiple state workers’ compensation.
  • Hands-on case management skillset with a streamlined process. 
  • Circulating up-to-date relevant legislation changes to the desired teams 
  • Ad-hoc duties or tasks to support the worker’s inquiries.
  • Responsible for leading three administration officers and one claims officer. 

Skills, experience, and attributes necessary for this role include:

  • Demonstrable experience working within claims management. 
  • A strong commitment to maintaining superior workers’ compensation standards and an excellent knowledge of required statutory obligations. 
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with proven experience in achieving a high output from employees. 
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Strong critical analysis, problem-solving, planning and decision-making.
