A special thank you to the staff at TriCare Cypress Gardens Aged Care Residence.
Having spent many years in the real estate industry, several of them working in a retirement village selling the units, I can appreciate the difficulties of re-locating elderly folk who have no wish to move from their home and who don’t recognise the need to move to a care situation.
I first heard of TriCare from clients who were moving to independent units, and visited them after their move to your Clear Island Waters Village, so when I had to make a decision on behalf of Maud Rayner, TriCare was the only facility I approached. My first point of contact – Christine on the front desk, then to Judy Carter for my initial interview, I received nothing but interested, helpful and professional assistance.
I visit Maud in her new home every day, but it has been a trying time for myself and the staff, due to Maud’s health and attitude. Registered Nurse Nina is always on hand for expert advice and has solved many of my problems – likewise Registered Nurse Joan realises the situation with Maud and has come up with a solution when I haven’t got the answer.
R.N’s “Irish” Mary and Sam are the only other nurses I have actually met, once again offer professional and assistance (above and beyond) when I need it. The other nursing and care staff, cleaners and kitchen staff all try to make Maud’s stay enjoyable with much personal attention – not to mention Rebecca who has her finger on the button.
We all look forward to hearing Kath Stanaway at the Christmas party. All of the staff I have had the pleasure to meet are a dedicated team who set a very high standard, and up-hold the reputation of TriCare as a first class facility.Val Humphreys
